Press Release concerning Exacq being bought by Tyco:

July 29, 2013

Dear Valued Exacq Customers,

We are excited to share with you that Exacq Technologies is now officially part of Tyco. With this news, we wanted to address some questions we've received from our customers since you first heard about this transaction a few weeks ago and also provide some details on how our combined company plans to move forward to continue to deliver the high-quality products and service you have come to trust.

Exacq has always been committed to delivering the most intuitive user experience to customers. Frankly, that is one of the attributes that made Exacq attractive to Tyco, and it is still a top priority. The additional resources Tyco has will now be available to Exacq to continue to develop and support the products you know, while expanding the brand globally.

The exacqVision product line is a perfect complement to the VideoEdge VMS line from American Dynamics that Tyco Security Products currently offers. Each solution appeals to a unique type of video user, and adding the Exacq portfolio immediately enhances Tyco's position as a leader in security products while offering a differentiated solution to customers.

With any acquisition, questions sometimes arise regarding the support of existing customers. We plan to continue to support all customers, and look forward to continuing our work together to develop solutions that best meet the changing needs of the market. It's important to us that this change is seamless and easy for you. Your business dealings with us and the people you usually interact with should remain as you have known them. While we anticipate no or minimal change to how you currently work with us, in the event that there are changes, we'll do our best to talk to you about them before they take place.

We know that you have many options in video solution providers, and we are dedicated to maintaining the high standards that you have come to expect to ensure we continue to earn your business.

On behalf of all of Exacq's management and employees, as well as Tyco Security Products, we hope you share our excitement about this next phase in Exacq's future. Please feel free to reach out if you have additional questions.

Sincerely,
Tom Buckley
VP Sales and Marketing, Exacq
